Fedders ® Introduces 13 SEER Efficiency Plus Series Package Units for 2005

Fedders 13 SEER Efficiency Plus Series also to be available in 50 Hertz for 2005

Liberty Corner, New Jersey (September 2005) — Fedders Corporation (NYSE: FJC) has featured new 13 SEER PC13 (Packaged Air Conditioners) and PH13 (Packaged Heat Pumps) for both domestic and international markets at HVAC Comfortech 2005, the National, Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Seminar and Showcase in Nashville, Tennessee, September 14–17. These durable, compact and self-contained units provide easy installation with minimal set-up for manufactured housing, residential and light commercial applications. The new Fedders 13 SEER line also delivers increased efficiency, more standard features, improved performance, and energy savings for the operator.

The new 13 SEER product design allows easy service access to all electrical components. Service minded EP series heat strips can be installed in minimal time and high and low side service ports are conveniently located on the front of the unit.

“Fedders’ 13 SEER Efficiency Plus Series Package Units are ARI (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute) performance certified and are rated in accordance with DOE test standards,” stated Greg Herschell, Product Planning Manager, Fedders Commercial HVAC. “We also back our rugged, commercial-grade construction and durability with a limited 10 year compressor warranty, 5 year refrigerant system warranty and 5 year parts warranty.”

The PC13 has cooling capacities from 2 to 5 tons and electric heat option from 5 to 20 kW. The PH13 offers capabilities in heating and cooling from 2 to 5 tons with optional electric heat from 5 to 20 kW.
