Fedders Introduces 80% Two-Stage, Variable Speed, All Position Gas Furnaces

When Matched with Fedders’ Standard A-Coils and Condensing Units, these FV80 Series Furnaces Provide 14 SEER Air Conditioning Systems

Liberty Corner, NJ (April 2007) – Fedders Corporation announces the introduction of its FV80 Series All Position Gas Furnaces. With an annual fuel utilization efficiency of 80%, these two-stage furnaces are among the smallest in the industry at just 35” tall. They are designed for all position airflow, making them suitable for a variety of installations in areas such as attics, utility rooms, closets, alcoves and basements. The variable speed blower motor offers high energy efficiency, low operating sound and excellent air distribution.

In addition to being easy for contractors to install and service, the Fedders FV80 series furnace is also highly beneficial to homeowners due to its two-stage design. Whereas single stage furnaces operate in only one heating mode and deliver the same amount of heat and airflow no matter what the outside temperature, two-stage furnaces offer two stages of heating, providing homeowners with more efficient temperature control and heat distribution. Two-stage furnaces operate at a consistent low stage heat level with reduced airflow for the majority of the time. The second stage is only activated when more heat is needed to maintain the desired temperature in the home. This means that less energy is consumed, resulting in lower monthly utility bills.
