Liberty Corner, New Jersey (September 2005) — Fedders Corporation (NYSE: FJC) has featured the quietest line of PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioner) and PTHP (packaged terminal heat pump) products at HVAC Comfortech 2005, the National, Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Seminar and Showcase in Nashville, Tennessee, September 14–17. The new products are loaded with features many manufacturers charge extra for, such as a wireless remote control, the industry’s first center mount electronic controls, digital temperature readout, tangential blower wheel, two motor design, easy-to-clean filter, sound-reducing compressor blankets and digital electronic self-diagnostics.

Fedders new PTAC and PTHP units not only provide standard comfort options like a remote control and digital display, but also a wide variety of options to meet the needs of owners and operators, including, user friendly owner-defined controls and remote thermostat capability. The new PTAC and PTHP are available in 7,000 BTUs – 15,000 BTUs with cool only, cooling/electric heat and heat pump/electric heat models available in 115 and 208/230 volts.
