Liberty Corner, New Jersey (January 2006) — Fedders Corporation (NYSE: FJC) will showcase the quietest line of PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioner) and PTHP (packaged terminal heat pump) products at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Exposition (AHR Expo) in Chicago, Illinois, January 23-25.  The products are loaded with features many manufacturers charge extra for, such as a wireless remote control, the industry’s first center mount electronic controls, digital temperature readout, tangential blower wheel, two motor design, easy-to-clean filter, sound-reducing compressor blankets and digital electronic self-diagnostics.

Fedders’ new PTAC and PTHP units not only provide standard comfort features like a remote control and digital display, but also a wide variety of options to meet the needs of owners and operators, including user-friendly controls and remote thermostat capability.  The new PTAC and PTHP are available in 7,000 BTUs – 15,000 BTUs with cool only, cooling/electric heat and heat pump/electric heat models available in 115 and 208/230 volts.
