Bar Date Set in Fedders Chapter 11 Case

LIBERTY CORNER, New Jersey -- December 20, 2007 -- Fedders Corporation (OTC: FJCC), a leading global manufacturer of air treatment products, said that the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware has set the "Bar Date", or deadline, for the filing of all pre-petition claims of creditors in the Chapter 11 cases of Fedders and its affiliates. The Court order requires that all such claims must be filed by March 4, 2008. The Bar Date notice is being mailed to individuals and entities who have now or who had an association with Fedders.

All individuals and entities known to have had a relationship with Fedders will be given notice of the Bar Date and a proof of claim form. No action is required unless the individual or entity has a claim arising prior to Fedders' August 22, 2007 bankruptcy filing. Any individual or entity with a claim should follow the steps outlined on the proof of claim form.
